Review the project drawings and determine system locations, routes, and points before installation.

We begin designing systems and low-current drawings by understanding the intended use of each space, then position camera, data, communications, audio, and control points according to the required systems. We review cable routes, cabinet locations, power sources, and coordination with architectural drawings and electrical work. Early design helps establish infrastructure decisions before ceilings and walls are closed and clarifies preliminary quantities and specifications for comparing installation quotations. The level of detail, deliverables, and revisions is defined in the agreed scope; this may include point layouts, bills of quantities, coordination notes, or as-built drawings when requested. Any official approvals or engineering stamps remain subject to a qualified entity and a separate scope.

Choosing equipment locations after finishing may require exposed cabling, breaking into surfaces, or moving connection points. A lack of coordination between systems can also result in insufficient routes or conflicting equipment locations. Early planning helps reduce these changes and clarify responsibilities.
